THE ROOTED JOURNAL
sources
where the borrowed words come from.
THE OLD VERSES
When a page carries scripture, it comes from the Old Testament / Tanakh - Torah, Nevi’im, Ketuvim - quoted from public-domain translations (the King James Version, unless a page says otherwise). Every verse is checked against its source before it is set in type, and every one carries its citation - book, chapter, and verse - in small print beneath the quote. Nothing is invented and nothing is misquoted on purpose; if you ever catch an error, write to Rooty and it will be corrected.
ROOTY'S OWN LINES
Everything else - the reflections, the observations, the quiet poems, and every “Rooty’s note” - is original writing, made for this journal. If a line has no citation under it, it is Rooty’s own.
Borrowed words are carried carefully. Own words are carried honestly.
