THE ROOTED JOURNAL
about this journal
the story of a wanderer and a worn notebook.
WHAT THIS IS
The Rooted Journal is a notebook that has been carried too long and handled too much - coffee-stained, torn at the edges, ripped page by page from its spiral binding. Every page holds one thing worth keeping: a reflection, an old verse, a lesson borrowed from trees and rain and seasons. Timeless wisdom for modern life, written down the slow way.
WHO ROOTY IS
Rooty is the one who carries the notebook - an ageless wanderer whose body is a living bundle of roots. Rooty’s face stays blank and calm; you will never catch it smiling or frowning. Whatever Rooty feels is shown the honest way: in posture, in weather, in light, in the small quiet things Rooty stops to do. Mostly, Rooty walks, notices, and writes.
WHAT A PAGE IS
Each page carries one line worth keeping - a thought, an old verse, or a lesson from nature, pressed into the paper in typewriter ink. Under it, in Rooty’s own hand, a note: what to actually do with it, out here, in a life. One page, one line, one small thing to carry forward.
WHAT TO EXPECT
A page each week. No noise, no hurry - just one page, left where you can find it. You can follow the journal where it posts, have the weekly page left for you by mail, or leaf through the old pages whenever the road brings you back here.
